Introducing our third FUN challenge to raise awareness and funds for the MND and Me Foundation. We promise there will be no tyre pulling!
This is predominately an inner Brisbane challenge, finishing on top of Mt Gravatt, where Murray and Sharyn Geale will be present to congratulate us all from 10am.
Your goal will be to climb some of the steepest streets in Brisbane! Noting that these streets are under 350 meters in length.
CAMS coaches will be your ride leaders for the day, and groups will be kept to a max of 20 riders each.
We will have 3 group options, with increasing difficulty, all finishing with the additional climb up Mt Gravatt:
- 10 Climbs – group should be able to average 22-24 km/h for 65/75km
- 15 Climbs – group should be able to average 25-28 km/h for 80/90km
- 20 Climbs – group should be able to average over 29 km/h for 100/110km
To register for this FUN challenge, you will only be required to make a $100 donation to the MND and Me Foundation, indicating the group you wish to ride in.
You will also be able to set up a fundraising page to share with your supporters and add vital funds to your donation.
Sounds easy doesn’t it, well it is, you just need to climb short, steep hills ………….
However to make it interesting there will be a few penalty donations for any infringements that may occur during the ride 😊
- If you avoid or do not attempt a climb it will be an extra donation of $20
- If you do not make it past half way with out stopping it will be an extra donation of $20
- If you stop after half way and walk it is be an extra donation of $10
- Anything else the coach decides is an infringement during the ride!
Each CAMS coach will be the judge and jury, so if you would rather take the safe option, or are just feeling generous you can donate a little more when you register for a free pass on all infringements!!!
To register and have a stress less infringement free pass the fees will be:
- $150 donation - for the 10 climb group and includes your $100 entry.
- $175 donation - for the 15 climb group and includes your $100 entry.
- $200 donation - for the 20 climb group and includes your $100 entry.
The actual routes will remain a mystery until the week before 😊 This challenge will be on open roads, with the same operating conditions and considerations as our regular outdoor rides.
This challenge is predominantly for CAMS members and supporters of the MND and Me Foundation, however if you would like to invite other cycling buddies to participate they can do so but we just need them to complete and return a CAMS rego form.

100% of all donations and money raised goes to support the MND and Me Foundation, so come on get on your bike, have some FUN and challenge yourself!
