Everyday in Australia 2 people are diagnosed with MND and 2 people die of MND.

I am raising funds on behalf of Yvonne Mckay, an amazing person struck down by a horrid disease. Many of us have watched Von’s battle with MND for the past 11 months. Whilst this has been confronting for all of us, we have also been able to see what a positive attitude and acceptance of what life throws at us can do.

Von is battling hard and throughout the entire time she has remained upbeat and taken the fight head on. You’ve probably heard Von say “use me as a lab rat if it helps find a cure” or “we need to raise awareness for much much needed funds for research to cure this disease”. So to help Von and future suffers I have created this fundraising page and I’m hoping to raise as much funds as possible before Von’s 40th birthday party on 27th January 2024. For those coming to the party, a fundraising gift would be gladly appreciated in lieu of a gift.

Any size donation will be accepted and will not only support MNDandMe research but also can be used to show Von how much we support and care about her. Von has been supported by MNDandMe throughout the past year and she couldn’t be more thankful for their help. So lets all get together and help return the favour. MNDandMe mission is To Care and To Cure. Sounds pretty good to me.
