Frequently Asked Questions

Join us on the 2025 Pies to the Pacific - Noosa Edition on Saturday 10 May.

The original ride was held in May 2013 when Scott Sullivan and Ian Davis both living with MND rode a specially designed tandem bicycle from Brisbane to Sydney over 16 days.

This two man mission captured the hearts of the communities along the route and was able to raise over $60,000 for MND research.

This is your opportunity to honour and celebrate this remarkable achievement. You will be raising much needed awareness and funds to find a cure. While Scott lost his battle with MND in April 2014 his legacy is well and truly alive.

Why will Pies 2025 be in Noosa?

After requests to change up the ride and results from our event survey, we have decided to host the traditional Pies ride every second year. The Pies to Byron ride will be back in 2026!

How does Pies to Pacific 2025 itself operate?

Our aim is to treat you like a peloton pro.

You will be riding in peloton environment with a maximum of 25 riders per peloton (staying together as a group) for the length of the ride. Each peloton will be “graded” depending on the average speed and experience of the group.

Peloton Average Speeds:

1. >28kmph

2. <23kmph

Each peloton will have a support vehicles, bike mechanic and first aid officer.

Fundraising

There is an expectation that all riders will actively fundraise as a condition of entry. While we have not placed a minimum requirement it is hoped each rider can raise in excess of $500 from their network. All we ask is that you give it your best shot.

After Party

The Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club are kindly offering their facilities for those who wish to freshen up for the after party!

The post ride function is optional but is a chance to unwind, refuel and refresh after a challenging ride!

The route covers some seriously beautiful countryside keeping off main roads as much as possible.

If you have any questions please email us at admin@mndandme.com.au or call us on 3394 5333.

Sponsorship opportunities to support the ride are also available.
