Japanese Camino Fundraiser

This October, 12 incredible supporters will embark on a life‑changing journey along Japan’s sacred Kumano Kodo - a UNESCO World Heritage pilgrimage that has welcomed emperors and spiritual seekers for more than 1,200 years.

Across seven days, our team will walk ancient mountain trails from Tanabe to Nachisan, winding through peaceful forests, remote villages, towering waterfalls, and some of Japan’s most treasured temples. Covering 13-16km daily, each night they’ll rest in traditional accommodation, savour authentic multi‑course Japanese meals, and rejuvenate in soothing Onsen's - an experience that nourishes mind, body, and soul.

Many compare the Kumano Kodo to Spain’s Camino de Santiago; in fact, some of our walkers who joined us in Spain in 2024, can even earn the prestigious Dual Pilgrim recognition by finishing this trek.

What truly makes this journey extraordinary is the purpose behind every step. Each participant has committed to raising $5,000 to support people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

This is a remarkable personal effort, covering their own travel costs and fundraising on top of that.

Your support directly helps the MND and Me Foundation provide essential services, care, and hope to individuals and families navigating the realities of MND.

If you’re able, please donate today. Your generosity truly makes a difference. Thank you.
