Please join us for the 2022 “Pies to Pacific Ride” to support people living with Motor Neurone Disease on Saturday 18 June 2022.

This is a great opportunity to use your bike to become part of the solution, ensuring no one faces MND alone.

This ride has a very Australian flavour - it’s between two famous icons – The Yatala Pie Shop to the most easterly point of Australia at Byron Bay.

Ride Options:

Yatala Pie Shop to Byron Bay via Tomewim Road and Murwillumbah – 170km

Yatala Pie Shop to Byron Bay via Tweed Heads and Kingscliff – 155km

Size: Capped at 150 riders only

Registration Fee: $240.00

Ride Inclusions:

The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and in turn to raise funds to support those people and families impacted by MND. It is hoped that each rider raise a minimum of $500 in sponsorship from their friends, family and work colleagues.

Together, we aim to raise $150,000 to ensure no Queenslander faces MND alone.

Ride Format: Tight Pelotons:

You will be riding in peloton environment with a maximum of 50 riders per peloton - staying together as a group for the length of the ride.  Each peloton will be “graded” depending on the average speed and experience of the group.

Approximate Peloton Average Speeds:

  • =>28kmph
  • =<23kmph

Each peloton will have a support vehicles, bike mechanic and first aid officer.  A police escort will be in place for the Queensland section of the ride.

Riders who have no peloton riding experience will be required to complete a peloton riding session with CAMS Cycling Collective prior to the event. 


Registration Closing Date: Tuesday 1 April 2021


Transport: We have arranged a bus to transport riders back to Yatala at 5.30pm on the Saturday night. The cost will be $20 per person. Cameron from Cams Cycling Collective will also be there to transport your bike on his custom designed bike trailer. You can book this with your registration but there are only 48 places available. .
