I first did Peaks Challenge Falls Creek in 2014 with a great friend of mine, Murray. It took me over 11 hours and I put it on my never need to do again list.

Murray went on to do 2 more in under 10 hours each time.
Since then Murray has been diagnosed with MND and seeing what he is going through spurred me on to do Peaks challenge again in 2019, only that time I aimed to do it under 9 hours. I succeeded with 28 seconds to spare and along the way raised money for the MND and Me Foundation.

For 2022 we decided as a group that we needed to go harder to help support Murray and the MND and ME team. What started as a “bloody stupid idea” soon became a “we can do this” and the Mountains for Murray 2022 challenge was born. 10 days of riding from Brisbane to Falls Creek averaging 210klms per day then completing Peaks Challenge Falls Creek.

This is our chance to help them make a positive difference in the lives of people impacted by MND.

I know that the MND and Me Foundation does great work supporting both people with MND and their families while also funding critical research.
