As with many things we get involved in, people very close to me have either had MND or live with impairments that make life a bit different for them. With MND, my best mates Mum passed away from it and I wish she didn't. I liked her cookies and slices and I liked her a lot too. There a couple of people very close to me who have different abilities, have done so since birth and likely will for a long time. In a compassionate and caring society like ours, there should exist genuine opportunities for people of all abilities to continuously grow and learn and contribute. Compass provides that environment for its clients and I genuinely hope they flourish as their clients do. Valley Velo allows myself and the team I work with to get stuck in to the challenge along with our clients to put on something awesome. A celebration of BVRT, cycling, great people and causes.
